DENHAM X BLACKHORSE LANE ATELIERS

For Spring 23, DENHAM collaborates with BLACKHORSE LANE ATELIERS to tell a story of denim design, product longevity and a lifelong pursuit in the art of jean making.


After a successful career as a trained tailor, garment technologist and quality controller, Han Ates set up Blackhorse Lane Ateliers in 2016 as a long-lasting, durable antidote to fast fashion. Blackhorse Lane Ateliers make jeans with a focus on eco-consciousness, community and unmatched quality. The only jeans made in London for at least 50 years. By training and employing local seamsters and technicians, Han supports his vision to encourage a buy less, buy local mentality.

DENHAM X TIMEX

For Winter ’22, we joined forces with American watchmaker Timex to design an exclusive wrist piece. Introducing the DENHAM x Timex Waterbury Automatic 42mm wristwatch, driven by the pioneering spirit of the original blue jean makers.

Handcrafted using premium quality materials, the 21-jewel automatic movement of the watch is on full display due to the exhibition case back. Functional and beautiful, the 21 jewels inserted at friction points ensure the movement last longer. Automatically powered by your movement, this exclusive timepiece eliminates the need for daily winding.

Our iconic scissor logo, representing our progressive and forward way of thinking, is the focal point of this limited-edition watch.

DENHAM X EASTPAK

The 5-pocket jean is the iconic denim story, built on centuries of denim tradition. Inspired and driven by the pioneering spirit of the original blue jean, we’ve been combining authentic craftsmanship with progressive designs and product innovation through our East meet West philosophy since the first day. Our collaboration with Eastpak sees us translating our design aesthetic onto the quintessential brand’s recognizable backpack and tote bag silhouettes.

Celebrating the best of both brands, we’ve cut traditional Sashiko stitching with contrasting indigo shades and panel play with Eastpak’s modern, functional and durable luggage. Recreating the patch and repair look associated with naturally aged denim, we applied this to special 2-tone woven nylons with coated surfaces to reflect the variety of textures found in virgin denim.

DENHAM X REYN SPOONER

This is the story of two authentic two brands blending their passions. DENHAM cut with Reyn Spooner, the authentic Hawaiian shirt brand.

We connected with well-respected Aloha shirt brand Reyn Spooner back in the Winter of 2020. A shared love for Eastern culture, kimonos and the Japanese ‘Otaku’ worship of Americana denim and traditional Okinawa printing techniques emerged.

With over 60 years of experience creating timeless patterns with modern styling, Reyn Spooner tells the story of the American Dream built on the shores of California and Hawaii.

Casual, laid-back comfort combined with mindful, classic construction. Aloha in every stitch.

Sharing an inherent passion for tradition, family values and handcrafts, we delved deeper into how our premium denim is produced by strengthening our Italian supply chain. We’re proud to say that we only work with leading fabric, laundry and sewing houses. The ones that honour the skills and talent developed through generations of local, familiar training to produce the most mouth-watering premium denim.

Our leading partner over the past decade, Candiani Denim, is no exception. A family-run business that goes back four generations, the mill has built its reputation on its leading experience, tradition, and ‘soul’, which makes it one of the Italian denim role models for innovation, creativity, sustainability, and quality. This season, we went on a journey to see first-hand how each pair of jeans is handmade by Italian experts like Candiani Denim, with indigo running deep in their veins

DENHAM X KARSKI & BEYOND

KARSKI & BEYOND ARE A CREATIVE DUTCH TEAM CRAFTING ORIGINAL, BRIGHT AND COLOURFUL LARGE SCALE GRAFFITI MURALS.


Working together since 2012, their combined backgrounds of graphic design and fine art academy are the foundation of their modern, conceptual and dynamic graffiti style.It’s accepted credence in the graffiti world to paint over another piece. But there are common rules to be respected.

WE INVITED KARSKI & BEYOND TO PAINT OVER THE DENHAM LOGO WITH THEIR ABSTRACT COLOURFUL STYLE.

DENHAM X HEDOF

For Spring 2022, we are pleased to welcome Hedof into our house for the latest instalment in the House Guest Artist series (HGA #18). Studio Hedof (the moniker of Dutch illustrator Rick Berkelmans) creates striking illustrations using thoughtful, well-balanced compositions of candy-coloured sceneries.

Hedof’s unique and joyful style reflect Rick’s positive attitude and charming view of the world. Taking inspiration from Asian culture, vinyl toys and pop culture in general – playful characters and wonky shapes merge into vibrant, charming outbursts of colour and form.

MEASURE

1. Chest – Measure the widest part of your chest. Ensure that the measuring tape remains horizontal.

2. Waist – Measure around the narrowest part of your waist. Not too tight, not too loose.

3. Upper Hip for Tops – Measure around the widest part of your upper hip.

4. Hip for Bottoms – Measure around the widest part of your hip.

5. Inner leg – Measure straight down on the inside of the leg, from crotch to ankle.
